A Nature Fitness Park is the ideal place for fun and relaxation, sport and various open-air activities. Naturns is justly proud of its top-notch, recently-opened Nature Fitness Park, the largest in the Alps.
A choice of well-marked circuits of various length meander through the park with boards giving easy-to-understand instructions and directions. A large information panel at the start suggests different sports to choose from with important tips about warm-up exercises and training as well as details of distances, degree of difficulty and differences in altitude. The choice includes easy cycle rides, Nordic Walking, jogging, inline skating and a Keep Fit Alpine Well Fit circuit. All routes are well- maintained and clearly marked with information regarding distances. So, when you get to the start of the circuit, simply decide what you want to do, remember what number path is yours and …off you go!
It is easy to learn the technique of Nordic Walking and the sport is perfect for all of us, young or old, fit or not, well-trained or beginners. It is good for general muscle training and stimulates the circulation while the sticks help protect the joints. You do not need much equipment either - just a pair of soft, well-fitting shoes, comfortable clothing and light-weight, telescopic sticks. Günther, our Nordic Walking instructor, is on hand every Tuesday to help you. You can borrow sticks from the Naturns Tourist Authority Office free-of-charge for a trial session.

Nordic Walking
Naturns offers Nordic Walking fans a choice of more than 65 km. of well-maintained, clearly marked paths of easy, medium and more difficult category. The ten routes cover a difference in altitude from 554mt. to 1,700mt. with two access points, the first at the Nischlhof farm at 554mt. and the second at the Unterstell cable-car station at 1,300mt. Both starting points can be reached on foot or by car or you can take the cable-car up to Unterstell if you prefer. Nordic Walking is an ideal basic training regime and stimulates the body's natural strengthas well as improving general condition and co-ordination.
